Reason for partnership
Washington & Jefferson College is a private, liberal arts college in Washington, Pennsylvania with a total undergraduate enrollment population of 1,151 students as of 2024. W&J College sought to increase and stabilize application volume, while incrementally boosting yield percentage due to more refined student search prospect and market parameters.

TPG’s Approach
Through historical analysis, The Parish Group recalibrated W&J’s student search model with the design of better identifying right-fit prospects, while simultaneously reinvigorating existing markets and expanding into new geographic search territories. Additionally, we assessed and assisted with the development of refreshed and new fulfillment campaigns via the institution’s Slate instance to maintain engagement throughout the yield cycle to matriculation.

Outcomes
TPG’s partnership generated record high-applications and deposits in year one.
Within the campaign’s first year, Washington & Jefferson saw a 21.2% increase in completed applications, a 28.6% increase in deposits, and a 6 year high in total applications, exceeding the previous cycle total by nearly 17%.
